Dan Logan is president of the Reva and David Logan Foundation, based in Chicago, which funds projects in the arts and investigative reporting and for community organizing, education, and social justice, and oversaw the design and construction of the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts at the University Arts Center, which opened its doors in 2011. A poet, fine art photographer, and community activist, Logan is an active supporter of the arts in Chicago—among other initiatives, he co-created the Reva Logan Poetry Series at the Logan Center for the Arts—and in the Washington, D.C., area, where he lives. He is an avid supporter of public radio, founding the Save Jazz 90 initiative, and has been deeply involved in the life of the Center for Documentary Studies through his long commitment to the Jazz Loft Project.
