"artifacts: abortion histories and stories"

Monday, November 25, 2019 - 9:00am to Saturday, May 30, 2020 - 5:00pm

One in three women will have an abortion at some point in her life, yet abortion remains one of the least talked about experiences in our society.

"artifacts: abortion histories and stories" is a multimedia, interactive installation, that disrupts common notions and popular narratives about abortion by exposing the complexity and diversity in our abortion experiences and offering a more real, nuanced and complete picture of abortion. The artifacts included in the exhibition were gathered over the course of six years for the digital multi-media project, The Abortion Diary by its founder/director, Melissa Madera, PhD.
