Monday, August 29, 2022 - 8:30pm

The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival will welcome audiences back in-person at the Summer Road Show in Durham Central Park in downtown Durham, NC, with outdoor documentary film screenings on August 1, August 15, and August 29. Free and open to the public. More information about the Summer Road Show films; FAQ and event details.

August 29: Mama Bears (dir. Daresha Kyi | 90 mins | Full Frame 2022), a recent 2022 Full Frame festival alum, will conclude the outdoor screenings on August 29. The film explores the journeys of Sara Cunningham and Kimberly Shappley—two "mama bears" whose profound love for their LGBTQ+ children turned them into fierce advocates for the entire queer community—and Terrell Morris, a young African American lesbian whose struggle for self-acceptance exemplifies why the mama bears are so vitally important.

The Full Frame Summer Road Show is presented by American Tobacco Campus and Capitol Broadcasting Company, Inc.
