"Whose Streets?" Film Screening
Sabaah Folayan and Damon Davis's documentary "Whose Streets?" will screen free at the Duke University Divinity School. The film, a 2017 Full Frame Documentary Film Festival alum, gives an account of how the killing of eighteen-year-old Michael Brown inspired a community to fight back and sparked a global movement. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring: Duke Divinity Associate Professor Valerie Cooper; School for Conversion Director Johnathan Wilson Hartgrove; Duke University Religious Studies Assistant Professor Joseph Winters. This screening is free and open to the public. Food and drinks will be provided. This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University, the School for Conversion, and the Black Seminarians Union and Office of Black Church Studies, both at Duke Divinity School.
