As associate vice president for budgets and central business operations for Duke University, John Clements leads various finance and central shared services functions, including budgeting and cost allocations, auxiliaries finance, campus mail services, trademarks and licensing, as well as Duke University Stores operations. In this role, Clements' responsibilities include consolidation of the University's annual operating and capital budget and five-year plan for review and approval by the Board of Trustees, the allocation of space and general and administrative expenses across the University and Health System enterprise, as well as the financial oversight for the Central Administration Management Center (CAMC). Clements has over 25 years of experience in higher education finance, and holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Appalachian State University and a master of arts from Duke University.
