Chino Otsuka

Chino Otsuka, based in London, uses photography and video to explore the fluid and distortable relationship between memory, time, and photography. She has exhibited widely in Europe, North America, and Asia, and her works are in the permanent collections of major international museums, such as the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography. Otsuka’s practice-based research has led to a creative research fellowship at the British Library and an artist residency at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre in Canada. Her works are in the permanent collections of major international museums, including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography.
