Assistant Director of Development
Kelsey Favret is the assistant director of development at the Center for Documentary Studies (CDS), where she is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive annual giving, engagement and stewardship programs.
Prior to joining the team at CDS, Kelsey worked for the American Dance Festival (ADF) in Durham, North Carolina for almost five years in a variety of capacities. She began her time at ADF as the development and special events intern. From there, she served as the executive assistant and office manager, and most recently as development associate where she managed a portfolio of more than 300 individual donors and was responsible for planning and executing more than 14 fundraising events per year. Kelsey received her BA from the College of Charleston where she double majored in communication and dance. She is a passionate arts fundraising professional and active community member in her hometown of Durham. Outside of the office, Kelsey enjoys discovering live music, dancing, weightlifting, and being a fish mom to her newly adopted Betta fish, Billy Porter.
