Please join us Monday, September 23 for a presentation and artist talk by Lewis Hine Fellow and MFA|EDA alumna Jenny Stratton, introductory remarks by Alex Harris.

The Lewis Hine Documentary Fellowship connects the talents of documentary artists with the resources and needs of community-based organizations, fostering unique collaborations and forging new paths for using media in the service of social justice. As a Lewis Hine Fellow at Children's Aid and Family Services, Jenny Stratton focused her research and creative work on collaborative media making, restorative narratives, maternal healthcare, and ideas of motherhood. She will present work from this ongoing, long-term project, as well as from other projects that engage with documentary art and co-creation as processes for (re)imagination, shared wisdom, and acts of care. While back at Duke, Jenny will also visit classes and join as a guest respondent at the MFAEDA critique.
