Join us for the opening of "Bound/Unbound: From Page to Wall," an exhibition bringing together the work of eight North Carolina-based photographers who have recently published, or are in the process of publishing, photobooks. Images from these projects are displayed on the wall alongside the books from which they originate, inviting viewers to consider how photographs shift in meaning as they transition between page and gallery. A dedicated reading room extends this exploration, foregrounding the photobook as a material, experiential, and exhibitionary form.
A collaboration between the Duke Center for Documentary Studies Continuing Education Program and Photobook Dummies, the exhibition offers special opportunities for visitors: 10% off a CDS Continuing Education course, a free photobook for the first 50 visitors, and a free Photobook Dummies meetup on February 26, which also counts as Continuing Education credit.
Participating Artists: Aaron Canipe, Justin Cook, Tyler Green, Kate Medley, Christiaan Lopez-Miro, Sebastian Siadecki, Heather Evans Smith, and Kyle Worthy
