Full Frame Fellows 2026 (Duke University): Apply Now

Full Frame Fellows pose with filmmakers in a crowded room

Deadline: March 6, 2026. Duke University undergraduates: become a fellow at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, a program of Duke Center for Documentary Studies, and immerse yourself in one of the world’s premier documentary festivals! This opportunity is open to all Duke undergraduates and takes place April 16 – 19, 2026, right here in Durham.

The Full Frame Fellows Program is designed to educate, motivate and nurture students interested in the documentary form. Along with attending screenings, fellows can network with documentary filmmakers and peers to seek advice tailored to their interests and potential careers in the industry. In 2025, approximately 150 participants from 15 universities took part in the Fellows Program.

What Full Frame Fellows Receive

Selected students will receive a Fellow Pass, which includes:

  • Preprinted tickets to Opening Night Film, Opening Night Party, all Fellows Program itinerary screenings, and Sunday Awards Barbecue
  • Admission to two exclusive Fellows Sessions — moderated conversations with filmmakers — with complimentary lunch
  • Last-minute line access to screenings when no required event is scheduled.

Requirements

Fellows are expected to attend the entire festival (Thursday, April 16 through Sunday, April 19).

Fellows must submit a brief reflection on their Full Frame experience, along with a photo (a selfie at the festival or another representative image, like a Q&A), by April 26, 2026.

Application

To apply, complete the application form.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. on March 6, 2026.
