About the Exhibition
Shifts: New Expressions 2026 presents a wide array of student documentary work from this academic year. Primarily featuring work by CDS undergraduate courses, the exhibition highlights new creative visions and emerging voices working across photography, multimedia, and documentary storytelling. Installed in April, this exhibition will remain on view into the summer.

Opening Event
Thursday, April 23, 5–7 p.m.
The exhibition opened during CDS’s spring celebration — an annual gathering that welcomes students, faculty, staff, and community members. Attendees explored the exhibitions, connected with students graduating from CDS Undergraduate Education and Continuing Education programs, and enjoyed live music by Little Chair, an all-Duke student band, and free food from the Boricua Soul food truck.
